This webinar will enhance awareness of how Health Equity is central to all health systems’ mission. Programs and initiatives that address health disparities will be discussed, along with strategies to integrate diversity and inclusion into overall organizational priorities.

Marcos Pesquera is the System Vice-President for Community Benefit, Health Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at CHRISTUS Health, an international Catholic, faith-based, not-for-profit health system comprised of almost 350 services and facilities, including more than 60 hospitals and long-term care facilities, 175 clinics and outpatient centers, and dozens of other health ministries and ventures. In this capacity, he leads the integration of diversity and inclusion strategies, cultural competence and community partnerships to impact population health and achieve health equity.

Tiffany Capeles serves as Director of Health Equity and is responsible for establishing and advancing the Health Equity strategy of CHRISTUS Health by working across the organization to ensure initiatives, resources and tools are effectively leveraged. She leads the implementation of innovative system changes that promote community health, reduce health inequities, and improve patient outcomes.
