About Me…
My background: I worked in a family practice clinic with five providers for 20 years. While working for the clinic, I gained my CPC (Certified Professional Coder) from AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders), my CFPC (Certified Family Practice Coder) from AAPC and my CMM (Certified Medical Manager) from PAHCOM (Professional Association of Health care Office Management). I gave practice management lectures to Doctors of TOMA (Texas Osteopathic Medical Association) at their conferences for 10 years. In 2010, I opened by own Medical Billing and Consulting company in Eastland, Texas. We now have over 60 providers that we provide billing services for in many different specialties. After moving into the Eastland Memorial Hospital District, I felt I could bring a different knowledge to the board so I ran for a position on the Board of Directors.
My favorite person: My mentors! Robert DeLuca, DO; William Oswalt, MD; and Kenneth D. Parker, CPA. Without these people, I would not be where I am today. They were all stepping stones in my success.
Best city in Texas: Fredericksburg, Texas!
