I am sure you all will agree with me when I say I am ready for the fall. In addition to the unprecedent heat we have faced in the state, summer has been incredibly busy for Texas Healthcare Trustees and I’m excited to share some of our recent highlights.

Our 2023 Health Care Governance Conference was a resounding success, bringing together more than 325 leaders from across the state to share insights, learn from each other’s experiences, and chart a course toward even brighter horizons. Your engagement and commitment to learning about and improving upon the future of health care governance truly made this event extraordinary.

I’m thrilled to announce the completion of our governance projects in partnership with the State Office of Rural Health. Through the support of SORH, THT was able to develop two new Trustee Guidebooks on rural health care governance and health care compliance along with a virtual governance workshop.

As we look ahead, I’m excited to unveil our THT’s fall webinar calendar. These upcoming sessions promise to be a source of valuable insights, inspiration, and growth. We’ve curated a lineup of engaging topics covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quality oversight, governing documents and more. Visit the live webinar section of our website for more information and stay tuned for more details on these webinars.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering dedication to our shared mission of cultivating informed leaders in health care governance. As we transition into the next season, let’s carry forward the momentum of summer, the success of our conference, and the promise of new opportunities.

Warm regards,

Amy Eskew
