This activity will provide 5.5 contact hours of nursing continuing education.

Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association - Approver, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

FACULTY:

Marion Spears Karr is a Vice President for Tyler & Company. Marion brings in-depth experience leading successful recruitment teams that specialize in nursing leadership, C-level, Vice President and Senior Director-level searches. Marion’s career in healthcare executive search began in 1991. In 1999, Marion founded a boutique retained executive search firm with a unique value proposition of building strong leadership teams in healthcare, and devising plans to ensure long-term success for his clients and their personnel.

Shirley Robinson, CAE, serves as president and CEO of Texas Healthcare Trustees. Founded in 1961, THT is the oldest trustee organization in the country, providing governance education, resources and leadership development to Texas hospitals and health systems. As an affiliate of the Texas Hospital Association, THT stays apprised of the latest industry trends and policy changes affecting Texas hospitals. Under Robinson’s leadership, THT educates health care decision-makers and adapts to the changing health care environment, while maintaining a foundation of integrity across all programs and services.
