Trustees are needed to be advocates for their hospitals on a local, state and national level. THT provides ways for trustees to gain access to information and education on important health care policy issues.
During the 2011 Texas legislative session, for example, Texas Healthcare Trustees members were active and vocal in communicating the impact that budget cuts would have on their local communities.
THT sent weekly Calls to Action to its members with specific ways trustees could help the "Some Cuts Don't Heal" campaign. Check out how hospitals and trustees got involved this session.
