Founders' Award

The Founders’ Award is presented annually to a distinguished health care trustee with an exemplary record of leadership, dedication and excellence in health care governance and in the community.

The Founders’ Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Texas Healthcare Trustees. The award was established in 1972 when it was presented to the five founders of THT. The Founders’ Award remains a symbol of dedication and excellence in leadership and health care governance.

 

Start Trustee Award

The Star Trustee Award will be presented annually to an individual, a hospital or a health system that demonstrates the ability throughout the year to effectively advocate in the legislative and regulatory arenas for the betterment of Texas hospitals and the patients and communities they serve.

THT ceated the Star Trustee Award in 2012 to recognize and encourage engagement in advocacy on behalf of their hospital, health system, or health care organization to strengthen and improve the health care community. Advocacy efforts may relate to health care policyrelated issues or pressing issues of local concern.

 

In conjunction with the THT 2012 Annual Conference, the award recipients will be presented with the Founders’ Award and the Start Trustee Award on July 27 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa.
