THT Board Names Shirley Robinson as President/CEO
The Texas Healthcare Trustees board of directors is pleased to announce Shirley Robinson, CAE as its new president and CEO.
Robinson will lead THT after serving five years alongside outgoing president and CEO Stacy Cantu. Robinson brings 20 years of experience in non-profit and association fundraising, organizational development and strategic planning with 13 years in health care.
“The THT board selected Shirley Robinson to continue the great work of previous THT leaders,” said Bob Dyess, THT immediate past chair. “During her time at THT, Shirley has been instrumental in the success of the Healthcare Governance Conference and many other THT programs so we know the organization is in great hands. On behalf of the board we welcome her into this new role and look forward to the bright future of THT.”
Prior to her role at THT, she held leadership positions in the Texas Society of Association Executives and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Robinson received her Bachelor of Science from Trinity University in San Antonio.
"This is an exciting time for THT, and we are fortunate to have someone like Shirley at the helm with experience and the right vision to continue to lead THT in an upward trajectory,” said Ron Wensel, board chair of the THT board of Directors. “I look forward to working with her as we continue to further THT's mission of inspiring excellence in health care governance."
THT will focus on the promotion and development of new and innovative collaborations and partnerships, high quality resources and build awareness of the importance of great governance to ensure sustainable growth for THT and our members.
