The Board Chair/CEO relationship may not get the care and attention it requires or deserves. In this workshop, get practical guidance about how to establish, build, and maintain this leadership partnership so that the quality of governance is strengthened and hospitals continue to be strong and vital community assets.
Healthcare Governance Conference
Hospital trustees play a vital role in their hospitals and communities. These responsibilities can only be fulfilled when the trustee is informed. THT’s Healthcare Governance Conference, the premiere event in Texas for hospital board members, is dedicated to educating trustees on the most up-to-date and relevant topics in health care. The 2019 conference is slated for July 18-20 at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio.
Texas Healthcare Trustees understands that governance administrative support plays a vital role in success of the board and leadership of the hospital or health care system. It is with this in mind that THT has developed the AdminLeadership Conference to help those in this important position to work in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Nurses on Board
Nursing is one of the most trusted and respected professions in the country yet nurses are underrepresented in hospital and community board membership. Texas Healthcare Trustees and Texas Team Advancing Health Through Nursing created a program to increase nurse participation on health care and community boards of directors. THT and Texas Team will provide nurses across the state with governance and leadership education in order for them to be even more valuable assets to both hospital and community boards. This program includes educational sessions on governance for nurses as well as providing tools and resources to help them become successful leaders and community health advocates.
